Couples Counselling and Therapy
When your relationship feels strained, couples therapy can provide valuable support. It is normal for couples to face challenges, as these ups and downs are part of any relationship. However, when difficulties become overwhelming, or you feel trapped in negative patterns, couples therapy can help you navigate these issues. It creates an opportunity for healthier communication and more fulfilling connections, guiding you toward a more satisfying relationship.
I offer in-person and/or online appointments for those individuals looking for couples therapy, and specialist sessions for couples living with dementia
I am deeply committed to supporting you in your relationship when you seek help. My approach is compassionate and non-judgmental, combining sensitive, empathetic listening with balanced awareness to help you navigate your individual challenges.
From my personal experience, I understand that difficulties in relationships are inevitable, but with support and insight, they can lead to more meaningful connections.
I create a safe and supportive environment for you to explore these issues, creating open dialogue and understanding as you work through your concerns together. My goal is to empower you both to find healthier ways of relating to each other.

Why come to couples counselling?
Relationship counselling provides a valuable opportunity to improve communication and understand recurring partner dynamics. Each individual brings unconscious patterns from their past into the relationship, which can unintentionally trigger conflict.
I assist couples in discovering healthy ways to interact and connect with their authentic selves creating a safe space for both partners to express talk and draw closer together.
With RLT based therapy you can expect several positive outcomes: you will develop the ability to express your feelings effectively and listen to your partner without becoming defensive. You may start to enjoy each other’s company more fully, allowing space for individuality without feeling abandoned. Recognising each other’s triggers will become easier, helping you settle differences proactively instead of letting them fester.
Additionally, we can work on rekindling the romance in your relationship or developing a sense of teamwork rather than approaching each other as adversaries. This collaborative effort can lead to a more fulfilling and harmonious partnership.
I am also committed to helping couples achieve a healthier breakup, if that is what they ultimately decide is best for everyone.
